SnowKids Next Door

Objective:

To encourage children & families to keep active in the winter and participate in winter snow sports in a fun and cost effective environment.

Concept:

All children enrolled in grades K-6 in the eligible area are given a free Season Pass from Castle Mountain Resort.   The pass entitles the children to free skiing/riding for the entire winter season, no blackouts or restrictions.  Children and their families are encouraged to come to the mountain together and use discounts and coupons provided in their SnowKids Next Door package.

How:

We have partnered with local schools in the  Livingstone – Macleod Area, & Okotoks - High River area and will be sending information home through their schools.   Closer to the start of the season Castle will go into the schools to take pass photos and give the kids their “Snowkids Next Door” packages.    

Participation:

Last season was the first year of our SnowKids Next Door Program and we printed just over 3000 passes.  This season we are extending our reach to over 7000 potential participants.

Why are we doing this?

Castle Mountain Resort is continuing to support a local healthy community by giving all children in the community a chance to participate and try skiing or snowboarding.  Castle encourages children and their families to stay healthy and active all four seasons of the year.

Are we doing it this year? 

Yes, we are! Back for the 2012/13 season!  Participating schools should see a package coming home from the schools by Early October!
