SNEAK PEEK WEEKEND

Castle Mountain Resort to open for “Sneak Peek Weekend” on Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11.

Castle Mountain Resort, AB – December 05, 2016.

Castle Mountain Resort will open for the season on Saturday, December 10! Blessed with more than 60 centimeters of snowfall, over the past seven days, the resort will open for a “sneak peek” weekend in advance of its official opening day of December 16th.

“We couldn’t be happier” remarked Jason Crawford, Sales & Marketing Manager. “This past weekend was super kind to us, snowfall wise, and we just couldn’t wait to get things going!”

The resort will start the season with the operation of Huckleberry Chair, Green Chair, and the Buckaroo Magic Carpet. First chair will be at 9 AM, with last chair at 4 PM, both Saturday and Sunday. With superb snowmaking temperatures, snowmaking efforts are on-going and will continue for as long as temperatures allow.

Reduced rates on lift tickets will be available. Adult tickets will be available for $39, Student/Senior/Junior tickets for only $34, and tickets for Children will only be $19. Guests can save an additional $5 / ticket by buying online at www.skicastle.ca, in advance. Quantities are limited.

In addition to a number of trails being open, within the ski area boundary, Castle Mountain Resort’s cat-skiing area will be accessible for back-country enthusiasts. This area is considered back-country terrain recommended only for experienced back country skiers / riders. Avalanche control measures have not taken place in this area and it will not be patrolled. Guests are encouraged to access this terrain only in groups of 3 or more, all of whom should be equipped with avalanche rescue equipment and training.

The resort will remain closed from December 12 thru to December 15, re-opening for daily operations on Friday, December 16. Additional terrain and lifts are expected to open at that time, with further details to be available at www.skicastle.ca, next week.
