The Mountains

With an average annual snowfall of 910 cms, the white stuff here satisfies any snow hound’s appetite. If it’s terrain you’re after, Castle Mountain serves it up Rocky Mountain style. We’ve got 2833 vertical feet of steeps, deeps, natural drops, chutes, bowls, glades, groomed cruisers and gentle rollers. Our alpine “menu” includes:

  • 2 mountains
  • 79 trails
  • 7 lifts
  • 8 bowls
  • stashes
  • top-to-bottom runs
  • 3 terrain parks
  • deep powder
  • cruisy corduroy
  • beginners terrain
  • short lines
  • cat skiing
  • 3592 acres of terrain

We do a lot more here than live up to our “steep and deep” reputation. It's a simpler, more peaceful world at Castle.  Some call it solitude. Others call it paradise. SkiCanada calls it Canada’s best freeride terrain. For those of us lucky enough to slide here often, we call it home. Welcome to our mountains. Whether you’re a family looking for a mountain playground or someone looking for an unforgettable rush of adrenalin, our home is your home. Come and play awhile. There’s something here for everyone.
