Thanks to more than half a meter of new snow this week, Castle Mountain Resort will be offering a sneak-peak weekend, ahead of our official opening day, this weekend – our earliest opening in more than a decade!
Huckleberry Chairlift, Green Chair, and Buckaroo carpet will all be in operation both Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1, from 9 AM to 4 PM. While it’s too early to tell exactly which trails will be open, we have been making snow on various parts of the lower mountain and will endeavor to open as much terrain as is possible. Our uphill policy will be strictly enforced which includes uphill access in the Huckleberry terrain pod on our prescribed route and back country touring available within our cat skiing terrain. Any touring on our main mountain (Gravenstafel) will be strictly prohibited as our mountain safety teams conduct set up activities and avalanche control work.
Full Day Huckleberry Chairlift rates will be in effect with Adult (18 – 64) tickets at $59.95, Senior (65 – 74) tickets at $54.95, Junior (13 – 17) tickets at $49.95, and Child (6 – 12) tickets at $29.95 with Lake Louise Plus Card holders enjoying $5 off these rates. Wonders of Winter Card holders will enjoy their typical 50% off full mountain rates ($47.48 – $37.48) and mid-week pass holders are invited to use their pass over this special sneak-peak weekend.
Castle Mountain Resort’s lift operations will be closed midweek, Dec. 2 – 6, re-opening for the season on Saturday, December 7. Early season hazards will exist. Please watch for what lies beneath and ski & ride with care. Additional updates will be posted on our Snow Report (click for link).
