DESCRIPTION:Your mission\, should you choose to accept it\, is to make a canoe made of only cardboard & tape\, and then to ride that canoe down into our slush pit. Will you sink or swim? We’ll soon find out! \n  \nREGISTRATION\n\nRegistration is now open for this event. To register in advance\, click the “Register Now” button. We encourage all participants to register online in advance as space is limited.\n\n  \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS\n\n8:00 AM – 1:00 PM – late registration\n1:45 PM – Mandatory check-in at the announcer tent at the Slush Cup pond\n2:00 PM – Event start\n2:30 PM – Last run. Any participant not having arrived at the start ramp by this time will forfeit the ability to ski / ride the pit\n4:00 PM – Awards (ATCO Community Stage) to be held in conjunction with awards for the Cardboard Canoe Race\n\n  \nRULES\n\nOnly one run per team / canoe.\nThere is a limit of 6 canoeists / team.\nOnly cardboard and tape may be used to make boats\, and all boats will be inspected prior to sailing. Boats found to be constructed with materials other than cardboard and tape will not be eligible to participate\nAll boaters must wear a helmet\nParticipants must not be taped / tied to their boat for safety reasons\nLife jackets\, while not required\, are recommended.\nParticipants may not leave the starting gate without permission from the starter.\nAbsolutely no nudity. Costumes deemed inappropriate will result in disqualification.\nAny guests deemed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be disqualified.\nA maximum of 10 canoes will be accepted on a first come\, first serve basis.\nDress to get wet! All participants are encouraged to bring a towel / change of clothing.\nParticipants will be required to sign a waiver\, during the mandatory registration / check-in period in Guest Services – no waiver\, no runs\, no exceptions.\n\nParticipants\, under the age of 18\, will be required to have a legal parent or guardian sign a waiver on their behalf\n\n\n\n  \nJUDGING\nCreativity is key!
