DESCRIPTION:New for this season! Let’s welcome the Chariot Race to Castle Mountain Resort’s list of Spring Events! This event requires groups to pre-make a cardboard chariot using only cardboard\, duct-tape\, and paper\, and pull the thing through a twisty and turny course to win! \n\nRace Details:\nEach team only gets one run! Those riding in the chariot must be seated before the teams may begin. Once seated their team of pullers must hula hoop a total of 10 times each\, then run to their chariot and begin pulling. The course will be windy and twisty\, test your legs and pull/push your team mate around. Once you reach the end\, your chariot rider must get out and get dressed in the gear provided! First one to get dressed and cross that finish line wins! \nLocation:\nSkiers right of Haig Way (Round Up Traverse) close to the base of the Huckleberry Chairlift. \nRules:\n\nRacers will build their own chariot – no wheels\, skis or snowboards on the base of the chariot allowed!\nThe chariot must be built with cardboard\, paper and duck-tape. The box can be pulled by rope. Get creative!\nEach group will consist of 2 – 4 people max. Only one person is permitted to ride in the Chariot.\nThose riding in the chariot\, helmets are mandatory!\n\nTiming:\n\n8:30 AM – 11:00 AM – Check in / waiver signing at Castle Mountain Resort Guest Services\n12:00 PM – 2:oo PM – Races occur near the base of Huckleberry Chair (skiers right of bottom of Round-up Traverse. Last run must occur before 1:50 PM\n3:45 PM – Prizes will be awarded on the ATCO Community Stage\, near the T-Bar Pub\n\nAge Categories:\n\nU17 racers (both male and female – mixed teams)\n18+ racers (both male and female – mixed teams)\n\n  \nPrizing Categories for both Age Groups:\n\nBest looking chariot\nFastest overall team

It’s a fun and high-energy program that focuses on the development of advanced skiing and teaching techniques in advanced conditions and situations. \nPurpose of the Level 3 Program: \n\nTo hone your understanding and skills to prepare you as a future leader in the skiing industry.\nTo provide deeper understanding of the physics behind skiing\, as well as the physical\, emotional\, and intellectual aspects of advanced teaching.\nTo develop advanced skiing skills to demonstrate versatility and adaptability through a range of outcomes and situations.\nTo develop advanced teaching skills to develop learning experiences for advanced skiers in on and off piste terrain and bumps.\n\nDuration: \nThe Level 3 Program contains Skiing\, Teaching and an Evaluation component. The on snow components may be taken in the order that suits you best\, however\, we encourage you to take the skiing component first if possible. \n\nE-Learning Component — approximately 45 minutes to complete at home\, at your own pace prior to the on snow components\nOn Snow Skiing Training is three days\, approximately 4.5 – 5 hours per day\nOn Snow Teaching Training is three days\, approximately 4.5 – 5 hours per day\nOn Snow Evaluation is three days\, approximately 4.5 – 5 hours per day
