At Castle, we’re well known for small crowds and big snow. While interest in skiing / snowboard has certainly increased, though this pandemic, we want you to know that we care about your safety and your experience. It is for this reason that we’ll be limiting the number of unrestricted (7 day / week access) season passes available for the 2021-2022 season.

Unrestricted season passes will be available on a first come, first served basis across three pricing tiers for this season. Those seriously considering season passes are encouraged to buy at or near the time that season passes are released in order to avoid disappointment and so that they’re guaranteed our best rate.

Tier 2 rates are now in effect as all available passes at Tier 1 have been sold. A payment plan option, offering the ability to pay in several monthly installments is now available.

All passes are valid for the last week of the current season and all of next.

  • Students (18 – 29) must be full-time at an accredited Canadian College or University.
  • CMR requires a valid student ID along with proof of full-time enrollment (letter from Registrar or enrollment confirmation letter) at an accredited Canadian college or university. Students enrolled within an unpaid internship are eligible for student rates whereas students enrolled within paid internships or apprenticeships are not eligible for student rates.
  • Failure to provide proof of enrollment will result in an increase to the current adult season pass rate.

SEASON PASS HOLDER BENEFITS

Castle Mountain Resort is a member resort of the Powder Alliance. Holders of unrestricted season passes, at Castle Mountain Resort, are able to ski up to three free or discounted days at 18 premiere winter destinations in four countries.

Tickets are free Sunday – Friday (regular price on Saturday and during blackout periods) up to 3 free days per resort.  Holiday periods are often blacked out at the discretion of the individual participating resort but typically include Family Day (Memorial Day) weekend and the Christmas holiday period. Please check with the participating resort prior to arrival to determine if they are on a black out period.

Castle Mountain Resort typically partners with resorts and ski areas, across western North America, bringing you discounts on tickets and experiences at dozens of partners. In light of COVID-19 most resorts have suspended their reciprocal agreements until further notice.

ADDITIONAL SEASON PASS HOLDER INFORMATION

  • A limited number of passes will be available in each tier, with pricing in effect as follows:
    • Tier 1 priced passes are SOLD OUT
    • Tier 2 pricing is in effect on the next 750 unrestricted passes sold OR until July 31, 2021 – whichever comes first.
    • Tier 3 pricing is in effect on the next 250 unrestricted passes sold OR until September 30, 2021 – whichever comes first.
  • All prices are exclusive of GST and are subject to change.
  • Age cut-offs are based upon the age at time of purchase.
  • Your season pass is for your personal use only. It is not transferable and is not available for resale.
  • Season passes will be revoked if anyone else is caught using your pass whether you are aware of it or not. You are responsible for the use of your pass at all times unless it has been reported lost or stolen.
  • All pass holders must sign a release of liability prior to receiving their season pass. Those under the age of majority (under the age of 18) must have a parent or legal guardian sign on their behalf.
  • Pass holders must show picture I.D with proof of age and address when picking up their pass. Students must show proof of enrollment (course timetable / letter from registrar) at time of pass pick up.
  • Season passes remain the property of Castle Mountain Resort.
  • Pass holders caught skiing in a closed area may have their skiing / snowboarding privileges revoked for the season with no refund.
  • A $29.00 administration fee may be charged to reissue any lost or stolen passes.
  • There are no refunds of season passes, except in instances where season pass refund insurance has been purchased and certain eligibility criteria are met.
  • Season pass insurance must be purchased at the time of initial purchase. It cannot be added onto your purchase at a later date.
  • Season pass refund insurance carries a cost of $39 / individual or $99 / family, plus GST.
  • Season pass refund insurance covers the following:
    • Injury, illness, or death of an insured that prevents participation in skiing or snowboarding during the season.
    • Transfer by the current pass holder’s employer necessitating a change of residence outside of a 300 km radius from Castle Mountain Resort.
  • Season Pass Insurance does not cover:
    • Intentional self injury.
    • Pre-existing condition or disorders (unless the insured is hospitalized as a result).
    • Acts of God, pandemics, fire, vandalism, labour disputes, weather conditions, or mechanical failures.
  • Refund Calculation Methodology:
    • Prior to Opening Day – 100% less the initial cost of season pass refund insurance.
    • In Season – Passholders will receive a 1% refund for every day short of our 100th operational day, less the initial cost of season pass refund insurance.
    • Refunds will not be issued to any guest making a request for refund on or after our 100th operational day of the season.
  • The number of days skied does not factor into the refund schedule calculations.
  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing to CMR Guest Services.
  • Refunds will be calculated from the date your written request is received.

Purchasers of season passes at Tier 2 & 3 rates have the option to put their season pass purchase on a payment plan! All passes. with the exception of Tiger (5 & under) and Super Senior (75 +) passes are eligible to be purchased under a payment plan which allows you to divide your purchase into multiple, monthly payments.

Our payment plan is automated, whether you buy online or over the phone, with the number of payments dependent on when you make your purchase. Payments are divided into equal payments between the date of your purchase and October 1 – the date of your last charge. Answers to most commonly asked payment plan questions can be found below.

DO I STILL GET THE SAME PASS HOLDER BENEFITS IF I CHOOSE THE PAYMENT PLAN?

Yes. Enjoy all the benefits of being a pass holder whether you use the payment plan or pay all at once.

DO I HAVE TO USE THE PAYMENT PLAN TO PURCHASE A SEASON PASS?

No. You can pay all at once at time of purchase, if you prefer.

IS THERE AN INTEREST OR FINANCE CHARGE IF I USE THE PAYMENT PLAN?

No. There are no interest or finance charges.

DOES MY SEASON PASS COST MORE IF I USE THE PAYMENT PLAN?

No. The plan spreads the actual cost evenly over the months between the time you purchase and October 1.

HOW MUCH ARE MONTHLY PAYMENTS?

This will depend on when you make your purchase and on what passes you purchase. Monthly payments are equally divided between the months based on when you make the purchase and October 1.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PURCHASE BY TO GET ON THE PAYMENT PLAN?

The payment plan is available through August 30. After that, purchases will need to be paid in full at the time of purchase.

WHEN WILL MY CARD BE CHARGED FOR PAYMENTS?

Your first installment is due at the initial time of purchase. Subsequent installments will be automatically charged to your credit card on the 1st day of each month with the final charge due on October 1.

WHAT IF MY PAYMENT IS DECLINED?

You will receive an email telling you if the payment was declined. Please call our Guest Services team right away at 888-SKI-TONS (754-8667) to resolve the issue.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PASS?

Passes can be picked up at Castle Mountain Resort Guest Services, or at one of our off-site season pass printing days, once final payment is received on October 1. If you wish to receive your pass prior to that date, you will need to pay off the remaining balance when you pick it up.

WHEN CAN I START USING MY PASS BENEFITS?

Once you have received your pass you can use all the benefits that come with the pass.

CAN I PAY WITH CASH OR CHEQUE?

Unfortunately not. We only accept credit cards (Visa or Mastercard) on the payment plan.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY CARD ON FILE?

Please give our Guest Services team a call at 888-SKI-TONS (754-8667).

IS THE PAYMENT PLAN AN OPTION FOR ALL SEASON PASS TYPES?

All individual pass options, with the exception of Tiger (5 & under) and Super Senior (75 +) passes, are eligible for our payment plan.

All family pass scenarios are eligible for our payment plan.

CAN I BUY TWO PASSES BUT ONLY HAVE ONE ON THE PAYMENT PLAN?

Yes, but if both passes are payment plan eligible, you will have to purchase them in separate transactions.

WILL I KNOW HOW MUCH THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS ARE BEFORE I FINALIZE MY PURCHASE?

Yes. If you choose the Payment Plan option, it will show you the monthly charge and schedule before you finalize the sale.

DO I RECEIVE ANY COMMUNICATION AFTER I ENTER THE PLAN?

Yes. Every month, you will receive an information reminder email of the upcoming scheduled payment. After the 1st of each month, you will receive a short email letting you know the payment was successful or declined.

CAN I PAY OFF MY PASS(ES) EARLY?

Yes. You can pay off the remaining balance at any time. Call our Guest Services team at 888-SKI-TONS (754-8667).

WHAT IF MY PAYMENTS ARE STOPPED?

If for whatever reason payments stop, the pass is voided until full payment is received. There are no refunds of partial payment.

CAN I MAKE EXTRA PAYMENTS OR CHANGE MY MONTHLY PAYMENT AMOUNT?

Unfortunately not. Once the plan begins, the monthly amounts cannot be changed.
