EXPLORE A DIFFERENT SIDE OF CASTLE

TAKE THE PATH LESS TRAVELLED WITH OUR LAST TRACKS SNOW SHOE TOURS

Not a skier? No problem! Our Last Tracks Snowshoe Tours offer you the ability to elevate your winter without the sometimes steep learning curve associated with learning to ski or snowboard. Enjoy stunning views of the West Castle Valley from the top of the Huckleberry Chair and, best of all, your snowshoe adventure is all downhill! This experience is fun for all ages and fitness levels.

Our afternoon guided tour departs from the base area. We ride up the Huckleberry Chair and then descend through Ghost Rider Glades and back along the Skidaddle Traverse. Finally, we finish up the tour in the T-Bar Pub for some après tour beverages and snacks. Each tour participant receives a $10* off voucher to be used in the T-Bar Pub the day of your tour.

How long is a typical tour?

Our tours will run anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the group dynamic and fitness levels.

What is the minimum and maximum people per group?

There must be four people for us to take a tour out and we will have no more than 10 people per guide!

What should I wear?

We recommend that you dress a couple degrees cooler than the temperature during the day as it will cool down as the sun goes down. Layering with synthetic and/or wool fibers is key to staying warm and dry. Also, you’ll be able to layer up or down depending on whether or not you’re too cool or too warm.

Bringing along a small backpack with water and your extra layer(s) is welcomed!

Is it going to be dark?

Generally speaking, no.

It is possible, however, that we may be approaching dusk as we return to the base area, especially in the month of December but we won’t be snowshoeing in the dark.

What kind of footwear should I wear?

Footwear is key. If you have a winter boot with good ankle support, this would be your best bet. Otherwise, a mid to high top hiking boot would be your next best option.
