Hi my name is Adam kruk and was looking for some information about training for ski patrol . Is there a contract name and number . I can be reached at 403-915-4001
Hi, my name is kip Novak. I moved to okotoks Ab from Oregon last year. I was a pro patrol ski and snowboard patroller in Oregon for five seasons. I have taken avy 1 and 2 as well as Mountain Travel and rescue, wilderness mtn evacuation and Outdoor Emergency Care. I was also a member of the Willamette search and rescue. I am looking for some part time possibilities in Ski Patrol to help keep myself up to date and relevant. My goal is to eventually find full time employment somewhere in the field of avalanche, patrolling, or something in a related field. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

Hi!
I’ve been interested in doing volunteer ski patrol for a few years now and have left messages on the ski patrol Canada site but never heard back. I would really love if I could help out this coming season! Thanks for your time!
I collect Wilderness Medicine, Search and Rescue and Ski Patrol patches and I was wondering if your team has a patch and if so could I get one for my collection. Thanks,
Greg Boivie
Thanks for your question. 18 is the minimum age to become a patroller at Castle. Note that we have two classifications of patrol – pro (paid) patrol and volunteer patrol. The requirements for reach differ with our pro patrol generally requiring advanced wilderness first aid, and reasonably extensive avalanche safety knowledge. Our volunteer patrol serves to backstop our paid patrol during periods of high visitation (weekends and holidays) with slightly less rigorous training requirements.
Last season you had some cool ski patrol ball caps as part of a fund raiser. Are you planning to have them again this season, with a slightly larger size range?

Hi Chris,
Sorry for the time its taken to get back to you. I have checked in with our patrol and they are not planning to have ball caps this season.
