OPENING DAY (WINTER 25-26)
Come celebrate the first day of the 2025-2026 season with us as we open the doors on what will undoubtedly be another fantastic season! Pending some cooperation from Mother Nature, Castle Mountain Resort will be open on a 7 day / week basis starting on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Information on open lifts and terrain will follow as we get closer to the actual day, and will be posted on our snow report page (click here).
What ski lifts are open on 2nd Dec ?

Our goal is to have all of our main lifts open on Opening Day but it’s going to be mid-to-late next week before we know exactly what we’re going to be able to open, terrain wise.

Can we come out today (Dec 1) to pick up seasons passes/WOW cards at all, or should we wait until tomorrow morning?
You can visit us at Guest Services today, if you like. Guest Services is now open 7 days / week with Monday – Friday hours from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Is Castle open on Sundays?

Castle Mountain Resort is open 7 days / week, from opening day to closing day. This would include any / all Sundays.

Is there a new lift this year?

Thanks so much for reaching out. While Sunshine’s former Angel Express Chairlift is now in our hands, there wasn’t enough time for us to move on an install this summer – especially with all the engineering, electrical, and permitting work that’s needed. Our intention is to have Angel reinstalled at Castle, in an alignment / area that’s TBD, in time for December 2025.

We are still planning on being open on Friday, December 6, yes! Day tickets are now available for sale, online!

All major lifts were operating earlier today, although Tamarack (Red) Chair is currently on hold, due to high winds. Lift statuses are updated, in real time, at https://www.skicastle.ca/snowreport/.
