TOM TATARYN WORLD’S LONGEST SLALOM RACE
Castle Mountain Resort, in conjunction with the Livingstone Ski Academy (LSA), is proud to present the Tom Tataryn World’s Longest Slalom Race. This is your opportunity to push yourself to compete in the longest slalom race in the WORLD! The race begins near the top of our lift serviced area and goes all the way down 2,800 + vertical feet to the base. Should you finish you will have achieved an incredible feat you can take with you forever. Information is as follows:
REGISTRATION –
- Registration is $15 in advance of race day and for $20 on the day of, should any spots remain available. Click the “Register Now” link to reserve your spot.
- Please note that a bib deposit of $20 (CASH ONLY) must be paid upon check-in. This is to assist us with ensuring bibs come back to us. Once you return your bib your deposit will be returned.
CATEGORIES –
- U12 (11 years of age and younger)
- U15 (12 – 14 years of age)
- U20 (15 – 19 years of age)
- U30 (20 – 29 years of age)
- U40 (30 – 39 years of age)
- U50 (40 – 49 years of age)
- 50 + (50 years and older)
- There will be a male and female category within each age categories
SCHEDULE –
- 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Day of registration is available, only if not already sold out, at CMR Guest Services.
- Previously registered participants can proceed to the Day Lodge stage, where events staff will check you in, accept your $20 bib deposit (CASH ONLY), and issue your bib.
- 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Course inspection
- Practice running of the course is not permitted
- Slide into the course, take a look, and slide out

- There are no specific start times for competitors. All you need to do is show up to the start and complete your run, prior to 1 PM, to have your time eligible.

All proceeds from this event go to benefit the LSA (Livingstone Ski Academy). Thanks to the many LSA and Castle community volunteers who help make this event a reality!
All participants will be required to sign a release of liability, waiver of claims, assumption of risks and indemnity agreement before they will be permitted to participate. Please note that guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign on their behalf.
Registration does not include a lift ticket. A valid lift ticket or season pass is required, in addition to payment of the registration fee, in order to participate.
