March is in like a lion at Castle Mountain Resort with the first weekend of the month chalk full of fun for everyone! Here’s a quick run down of what to expect, this coming weekend:
LIVE MUSIC IN THE T-BAR PUB (FRIDAY, MARCH 1) –
Get ready for the exciting, incredible music duo that is Paul & Jenn. Bringing together a fusion of gritty blues with a folk vibe, this music duo will have you groovin’ till the late hours of the night.
Live music returns to the T-Bar Pub with music getting started at 9 PM.
TORCHLIGHT PARADE (SATURDAY, MARCH 2) –
A time honoured tradition at Castle Mountain Resort is our annual torchlight parade. Taking place on Saturday night, the torchlight parade is a way to honour and celebrate the lives of our friends and Castle lovers that have passes away before us.
The torchlight parade involves taking a short ride up the lower portion of the T-Rex t-bar (don’t forget a headlamp / flashlight) and then skiing down the lower portion of Centre by the light of a flare. Not only is it a great way to pay tribute to those who have passed on but it is a unique experience to be enjoyed by young and old. Children as young as 6 can participate with those between 6 and 12 issued a glow stick in lieu of a flare and must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants can sign up between 8 AM and 5 PM on the day of at CMR Guest Services or between 5 PM and 6:30 PM at CMR Snow School. The cost is only $5 for children (ages 6 – 12) and $10 for adults (13 +).

CASINO ROYALE (SATURDAY, MARCH 2) –
Break out that stylish suit or gown and get ready for Castle’s 4th annual Casino Royale! This annual fun casino is a great opportunity to enjoy the high life and high stakes without putting any real money on the line.
You will have the opportunity to try your luck at casino games such as roulette, poker, blackjack and many more! The ever so lucky winners at the tables will be able to trade their ‘Casino Money’ to enter draws for a chance to win a handful of incredible prizes. Casino Royale promises to be a night of glamorous high stakes, where the only regret is not attending.
Advance tickets are only $15 (available online and at Guest Services now) or $20 at the door. Doors open at 8 PM!

KING & QUEEN OF THE CASTLE RACE (SUNDAY, MARCH 3) –
The famous annual event that crowns the King & Queen of Castle Mountain; King of the Castle is back!
Put your skills to the rest in this two race, dual slalom series on Whiskey Jack. The only thing more fun than speeding down the slopes is pushing yourself to beat the person beside you! Fastest times will produce our King and Queen of the Castle who will then race off near 2:30 PM.
Participants can register, at a cost of $25, on the morning of the event on the day lodge stage. All proceeds go to the West Castle Ski Club who host this longstanding event!
