INTERNATIONAL SKI PATROL DAY – FEB. 10

February 10th is International Ski Patrol Day! This day was created to recognize and celebrate the amazing individuals who keep everyone safe at ski and snowboard resorts across the world. From dropping and setting of explosives to prevent avalanche hazards around the resort, rescuing/ helping injured guests, making sure terrain features and resort boundaries are clearly marked, and insuring the resort is safe for all skill levels and abilities, our patrollers do it all. We are beyond grateful for everything they do around Castle Mountain Resort!

In an effort to show appreciation for ski patrollers across Canada our partners at Helly Hansen will donate a 5% of their online sales revenue, between February 10-14, 2022, to the Canadian Ski Patrol. If you’re looking for some new clothing, we encourage you to take a look at Helly Hansen’s line-up of great base layers, insulators, shells, and more. Castle Mountain Resort is proud to choose Helly Hansen for all of its uniform needs.

On International Ski Patrol Day, we will be releasing a Day in the Life of a Castle Patrol video, to highlight the important roll they play around the resort and to appreciate everything they do for us! We also encourage everyone to share your experiences with ski patrollers or just thank them using the hashtag #skipatrolday, or to be kind and bake cookies or deliver a pizza to the MSO building near the base lodge at Castle!
