Castle Mountain Resort is excited to announce an early opening – the earliest such opening in our modern history – with a sneak peek weekend on Saturday, November 26, and Sunday, November 27, to be followed by our official opening day on Friday, December 2.

Castle Mountain Resort will start the season with a “sneak peek weekend”, operating this Saturday and Sunday with the Huckleberry Chairlift, Green Chairlift, and Buckaroo carpet in operation before closing again mid-week in anticipation of re-opening with additional lifts and terrain on official opening day, Friday, December 2. While the exact number of runs to be opened this weekend, and associated lift ticket rates remain to be determined, this information will be communicated as soon as it is available via our snow report page (click here) and social media channels.

With the combination of recently upgraded snowmaking infrastructure, in 2019 and then again in 2021, and the abnormally cold temperatures so far in November, our snowmaking team has been producing high volumes of excellent, machine-made snow. That, accompanied by some early-season storms that passed through the area at the beginning of November will mean reasonably good, early-season coverage across open terrain. Despite this, guests are reminded that early season conditions mean additional natural and human-made hazards exist and that they should ski and ride with care.

Discounts on a variety of our regular season experiences are currently available as part of our pre-season sale with savings of up to 20% off lift tickets, 20% off accommodations, and 10% off cat skiing. Many offers expire on November 30 so act now, in order to secure the best rate. For more information on our pre season sale, click here!
