Tomorrow is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – a day that honors children that didn’t make it home as well as survivors of Canada’s residential school system. It is a day for reflection and acknowledgement of the many injustices committed against our Indigenous peoples – not a day for sales and promotions.
Many months ago, we set September 30 as the deadline for our early bird season pass sale, not pausing to consider whether or not our date selection could conflict with meaningful commemorations. Having reflected on the significance of tomorrow, we are choosing to reschedule our sale end date and will reconnect with you next week with our updated date.
We encourage everyone to take some time to learn more about First Nations history and heritage by visiting any / all of the learning resources located on the Government of Canada’s website (click here) as we continue down the path to reconciliation together.
