TODAY'S REPORT

Despite rain in neighbouring communities, it's been all snow at Castle overnight. Good morning this is Cole checking in with your morning report for Thursday, April 2, 2026. 

If you're looking for one more mid-winter-like day, today is it folks. With sunny, spring-like weather expected starting tomorrow, this is your last chance to enjoy some new snow, at Castle, this season. Expect a mixture of powder and spring-like conditions out there today, elevation dependent.

For lifts today, expect Sundance (Blue), Huckleberry Chair, Green Chair, and the Buckaroo carpet to spin at or near 9 AM with Tamarack (Red) Chair and Stagecoach Express scheduled to start spinning at or near 9:30 AM. On the terrain front, while most mid to high elevation terrain is open, we do have some lower mountain runs off of Sundance (Blue) Chair closed. Please refer to the listed runs below to know which ones will be open/closed to start the day.

On the weather front, we're expecting overcast skies and snow throughout most of our operational day, with up to 10 more centimeters falling before closing time this afternoon. Alpine winds are expected to be light, at only up to 20 km/h, with a mid-mountain high of -1 today.
